A lifeline to our hearts
A lifeline to our friends
A lifeline to our souls
A lifeline to our health.
Hold on to that line
Keep it secure and do not
give way
If it slackens...pull taut
for that moment
And never permit it to stray
Our lifeline is our energy,
power and fortitude
Our strength is our dreams
Hold on to that momentousness
Never grant its disappearance.
Our lifeline warrants our
freedom
And joys and creativeness
Our lifeline can cause sorrow,
pain and fragility
Our lifeline promises brightness
and courage to persist
For without it...
Our lives would only diminish.
